The Crazies on Black Friday

Stace and I decided to go out with the crazies on "Black Friday". 4:00 AM we were out with the best of them at Kohl's... K there were tons of people there... unreal to me !! It was a good thing Stace and I had Dad's handicapped sticker or we would have had to park three miles away. We waited in line for an hour.. and I didn't even get to go on a ride. :>) But, we got some good deals, met some cool people in line, and had some holiday fun.. Crazy !! The best thing was Stace pulling a Stace when we left Kohl's and went to Best Buy. It has been raining here so there was some fog out as to be expected... So Stace said, "Tam why is there so much fog.. is it cause there is so many people out here.. and they are breathing?".. Ha, love her. :)

By 9:30, Stace and I were starved from all the shopping...so we met up with the best crazies, my fam to eat at Golden Corral. They have a yummy breakfast buffet..

We then went to Santa's Workshop, a holiday tradition.

Chris and Lauren picked out some bows for Nelly... K kinda funny to see a big jock, scoping out the bows. Had to get a pic..

Chris is so good with Nelly...it is just cool to watch... she loves him !!

Uh-Oh its Magic

One of my new students loves to do magic tricks. He is really good and hilarious. The kids all come down and watch him on a regular basis. I told him he should start charging.... as long as I can be the introducer person.... "Introducing the Great Magic Mellon"... Gotta love Kyle Mellon.. I seriously think I will see him in a Vegas show someday !!!

Engulfing Enterprise

Went to Enterprise with my MacArthur/Sharp peeps for the first basketball game of the season... I am excited for this year to watch the boys play. We should have an awesome team !!! Plus, I got my handy new camera so I can take some action shots !!

Kens brought her niece Ali Bug... she is adorable and made me even more excited for Tessa to come !!
































Taloo is constantly taking swigs of my Diet Pepsi.. I am afraid I have got her hooked.. poor girl !! She calls it firewater..


















I had to film Bump doing his Vampire Call... he always calls the refs vampires !! It is hilarious... I am gonna make him a ref shirt that says.. "Vampires Suck".. Love him :>)

Twilight Party

So Shell, Leslie, and I get to the theatre an hour before our movie to ensure a good seat.. and it is like a reunion of St. George. We saw.. Brock, and Kens, Cassi McDaniels (My favorite Freddy), Camille Casperson, Kels Kels, Abs, and Brady Boo and his woman. It was a party with Caramel Apple Cider for a treat.. (Thanks Poppy). But the real party began when the movie started. When we got into the theatre, I felt like I was at an after Christmas sale.. pushing women aside to get a decent seat. Good thing Shell has the scariest, mean face cause she got us sweet seats. All I gotta say is.... it was everything I wanted. The characters and scenery, were exactly how I imagined them in the book. Incredible !! My favorite parts were Edward's everything.. :>) but, his golden eyes, Jasper's weirdness, and the baseball scene. I am going to see it again tomorrow !!

Senior Ball and Chain

Well this past week I have basically been living at school. This year I am the Senior Class Advisor.. and I complain about the amount of time it takes.. but, I love it. These kids are amazing, and never cease to astonish me. They create amazing activities and put so much time and effort in making Dixie the best. This first slide show is of the Senior Ball Assembly. You seriously have never seen an assembly until you come see one of ours. They are choreographed, musically, and comically spectacular !! The kids picked an Oscar theme this year.. so for the assembly the royalty had to copy scenes from movies that have won best picture in the past. But, the twist is that they had to perform it in a different time period, or country. It was hilarious... Lord of the Rings was changed to Santa Clause, Forrest Gump was done in China, Titanic was the fifties, The Sound of Music was done by Cavemen, and Rocky was Greek. I laughed my ass off as usual...

Saturday we spent most of the day decorating for the dance. My Senior Class President is amazing and created a boardwalk of stars, movie reels, red carpets, all the fixin's for "The Oscars". I captured some famous stars that stopped by... :>)

Let me just reiterate.. if I haven't before.. I love my job !!!

Marking His Territory

So I don't know what it is.. but Blazzie before he graduated, felt the need to write his name all over my room. On my ceiling, on the back of all my hanging stuff. He still comes in to see me, thanks goodness cause I would miss him if he didn't.... and strangely more markings have shown up in my room... my desk. I have decided that he is marking his territory. When I told him that his response was... "That is the sweetest thing you have ever said to me Miller." Ha... good moment. :>)

Love Board... Going Strong

And "The Love Board" is going strong !!! Makes me happy.. read earlier posts of "The Love Board" to understand what the crap I am talking about.. :) I mean seriously.. who wouldn't want to go to work everyday and read my board.. Lucky I am..

Run Wilbur Run !!

Mikey calls me during class the other day and says... "Look out your window..." Him, Dallin, and Brock are running around chasin two pigs. HILARIOUS... one of them ran under my car !!! Took them awhile to get it out, but when Brock finally did it squeeled all the way back to it's cage.... like nails on the chalkboard... :>) The boys didn't appreciate me yelling... Run Wilbur Run !! But, I enjoyed it.. Love my job.

Power of the Priesthood

I have been meaning to post a special moment I had a couple of weeks ago.. but I have been busy. Here is my chance. My baby girl.. was having a bad day and she came to me for comfort. First, of all it brought me such joy that she would seek me out for comfort. Thanks babe.... It tore me apart to see her so sad and in pain.. I listened, held her, kissed her, wiped her tears, and fed her.. I did everything in my power to make her feel better.... but as she was leaving I remembered there is a greater power that I don't necessarily have.. but could share with her to comfort her. So.. I called my pops to come give her a blessing. Through the blessing my love for her was strengthened.. and her sweet testimony burned in my soul !! She is an amazing young woman.. that I am lucky to have in my life. I was again reminded of what a blessing it is to have worthy men on this earth that can share the power of God with us, and with the ones we love. Thanks pops for this power you carry faithfully... I will never forget it..and how it made me feel that day :>)

My Abs tagged me.. I am supposed to list seven things that people might not know about me... this might be hard since I am pretty much an open book !! Here we go...

1. I have a thing for vampires.. Buffy freak.. Read Sherilyn Kenyon.. And trust me had it a long time before Twilight.. so that has been the icing on the cake !!

2. I fear relationships with the opposite sex big time.. I don't know if it is because of my past.. or I just do.. but FEAR IT so tend to sabotage it!!

3. I have been blessed with an uncanniness to read people and recognize truth in people.. It says so in my patriartical blessing.. and trust me I don't always talk about it to people.. cause it freaks me out sometimes.


4. I love, love, love "As the World Turns".. yah it is a soap opera.. I am ashamed to admit it. I only really watch it for one couple.. Jack and Carly are my favorite couple.. I YouTube them on a daily basis... shhh don't tell anyone.. :>)

5. I love musicals.. mostly for the lyrics.. I don't go see a lot, but the ones I have.... have left an imprint on my heart, and changed me forever...

6. It took me like 10 years to get my bachelors... Yah, I played a lot.. :>) But, now I can proudly say I have my Masters+ so I feel I have redeemed myself a little in that area..

7. I used to sneak out of my house when I was a teeny bopper. My parents were a little peeved to say the least when I finally told them a few years ago !! I only snuck out to kiss Steve.. nothing bad happened !! Purely PG kissing !!

Wulfie Howling at the Moon

Had a neat moment with Wulfie this week at school. He is a neat one... and has been coming to chat with me more often. We have good chats about life... love my job :>) Anyway, he told me that when he was little.. he really thought he was a wolf... and would go out and howl at the moon. I thought that was cool... since I was the one that thought to call him Wulfie.... He is a free spirit.. and trust me the nickname fits.. and I can so picture him howling still. :>) He is trying to look scary in this pic.. but he so is not !!

It's Hard to Find Good Help These Days !!!

My Kath left us at work. She has been working for our department for 15 years. I am so grateful for all she did for Dixie and for us spazzy teachers. :>) I know she looks on my blog... so I just want to tell ya.. I love ya Kath.Thanks for laughing at my stupid jokes, for listening to my sad stories, and for all the motherly advice. You are a good woman and will be greatly missed.

Red Glowing Beauty

One of my favorite things about the place I live are the sunsets... There is nothing like the sun setting on our beautiful red mountains.... The red glow is breathtaking and makes me happy on a daily basis...

Goodbye Woobie

As we were moving last week... Dad asked Stace to throw away his blankie... It was so sad. My dad LOVES his blankie and has had it forever... Just a sad moment !! He does have another one that he is breaking in though... :>) It made me think of a clip from Mr. Mom... classic Woobie clip...
