A Christmas Wish

This year my Christmas Wish came true... it didn't come in a box wrapped with a bow. It didn't come in a stocking full of candy. It didn't come on the table during Christmas Dinner. It didn't even come on the tree !! It came when all of my family forgave, and forgot our differences and got together to celebrate our Saviour's Birthday. Never, ever.. give up on wishing... cause whether it is Christmas, or any day... wishes can come true !!! I love you Bubba.. hope waiting three hours for my blog to download to read this post was worth it !! And it is my wish that all who read this have a Happy New Year !! :>)

My Gingerbread Girl

My BooKoo came and stayed with me this weekend... We played Disney games, took tickets at Desert Storm, rubbed Nina's belly, had Ahi's Taste of Asia, and watched Mamma Mia... The highlight was building a gingerbread house. We ate most of the frosting and ran out !! It is a lot harder to do than it looks !! Think I will stick to decorating houses, not building them.. :)

I am a Dancing Queen

So shell bought me an early Christmas gift.. and I got to watch it tonight again... I love, love, love this scene. I think it just captures how at any time in our life.. good or bad, hard or easy, we can change it with the right attitude. We can listen to the rock music, drop what we are doing, dance in the streets, jump on a bed, feel the beat of the tambourine.. and be DANCING QUEENS !!! It is the ringer when I call shell... cause I am a DANCING QUEEN... Easily one of the best scenes from a movie I have ever seen !! You should always have the time of your life...

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

For most.. snow is no big.. but for us in good old St. George, where the desert people live.... when it snows it is kinda a big. It's been snowing the last couple of days and it is just perty !!! My Desk

So like any teacher I have the usual things on my desk... a calendar, pens, framed pictures, a file folder divider, Diet Pepsi, etc. Now at times I will leave my room and come back and there will be notes on my desk, or files from the office. But, the other day I had a huge surprise left on my desk...um a Maxi
















This is another reason I love my job.. expect the unexpected !! It never gets old !! :>)

Dixie's Littlest Faculty Member

This be Coop... he is our littlest faculty member here at Dixie. He is freakin adorable and I have been trying to get him to come up and see me since the first faculty meeting this year. At first he scowled at me... and now at least he is smiling. He will come up a few steps and then run back down to his mama. Maybe by the end of the year he will finally make it up to my lap.. :>) But, at least I have something to look forward to at faculty meetings now !!

A New Buddy

My sister is definitely nesting due to the pregnancy.. she has been begging my dad to get her a puppy for Christmas.... and of course she got one. :) We are the "Miller Kennel".. but seriously could he be any freakin cuter?? Her and Charlay... have decided to trade off for feedings and peeing during the night with both Tessa and Buddy.. Ha !!

We had our annual Christmas Party tonight at work. It was fun to be with everyone. We had good food, the Madrigals sang to us, and we exchanged white elephants !! We also each made an ornament to put on the tree. It was Falalalalala Fabulous !!

The ultimate highlight of the night was Heppie's dry wit. As always he remarks on something and we all bust up.... Tonight was a doozy.. After we were done passing the presents somehow he didn't have one. So Ellen said... "Don't you have a package?" Heppie replied, "Pardon me, why yes I have a package !!" Laughed, snorted, almost peed my pants !!
