Long Time No Post !!

Yah, it has been awhile !! I apologize... a lot. I guess I just got burned out of the blog thing, and also the freaky comments were kinda freaking me out. I was going to go private, but a friend suggested I do comment moderation so that I can monitor my comments. This made me a lot happier because a lot of my students look at my blog, and I didn't want to make it private. So I will try the moderation thingy... and see how that goes. For now, I will try to catch you up on my life since June. Summer was great... the usual. Driving kids, swimming, driving kids, visiting Ang, driving kids, watching Tessa, and going to Vegas with my girls. Nothing too eventful, but nice and relaxing. So the following is a montage of "Tampa's Summertime" !!

Stace and I both got passes at the Washington City Pool this summer and spent a lot of time there. Tessa loved it !! And I quite enjoyed hanging with my sis getting some rays and reading a book.




Went to see Blue Man Group with Michelle, Zeez, and Nicole in August. It was awesome !! Quirky, loud, and obnoxious !! Just the way I like it. We have decided that we are going to do a girls trip every six months or so to Vegas to shop and see a show. Next trip is planned for February to see Le Rev. Can't wait !!



I took a couple of trips up north to see Ang and help her out with her house. I didn't get any pics of that... but on my second trip I stopped by to see my Godkids !! They are growing up so fast, and I am so proud of them. I love the light they bring to my life !!





I spent a lot of my summer days watching "Baby Girl". She is getting so big.. and more beautiful. I remember the day she was born, and how I felt her before she came into this world. The more I spend time with her, the more that feeling grows of familiarity, love, and connection. She is awesome !!




One of my favorite things about being a teacher, is the relationships I have with my students. I love when my graduated kids come see me. During the summer, I had a couple of visits. The one above was extra special cause I hadn't seen Chris or Derek since they left for their missions. They scared the crap out of me coming at 11:30 at night !! But, I was rewarded with a huge bear hug sandwich, and some great laughs afterward.



























This summer brought some hard times as well. My Aunt Sue passed away. She has had Cancer for awhile now, and my family has been preparing for her to go. But, when the time came it was still hard. She was an amazing woman !! So accepting, caring, and loving. Whenever I hear the song, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".. a smile crosses my lips because I think of her. My amazing family pulled together through it. We spent a lot of time talking, laughing, eating, playing games, and swimming. Even though it was sad and hard, I know that Sue was happy that we were together, celebrating life because of her. I love you SUE !!





Lastly, one of my favorite things that happened this summer.. is my Nellybuns finally calling me Tampa. Nelly has always been a little timid when it comes to me. Now, she runs to me with hugs and kisses in tow. It makes me happy. This video is hilarious because Chris is already in training mode with her. The thing that is hilarious is that she is exactly like him !! Can't wait to see the outcome of it. :)


So all in all.. it was a good summer !! There were sad times, laughs, swimming, loves, kisses, shopping, eating, Vegas shows, godkids, best friends, and family !! What more could a girl ask for.. Not much !! :)

Private Time

Hey Guys !! I am going to be going private. If you recall, awhile ago I made fun of my random chinese commentator... well, I seem to be getting a lot more of those as of late.. and I am not going to lie, it is kinda freakin me out !! So if you want to be able to see my blog, send me your email through comments. I won't do it for another couple of weeks. I really don't want to do this, but I am gonna.... Dang it !! :)

A Rawring Good Time

This last weekend I went to Vegas with Michelle and her family for her niece Nicole's birfday. We went shopping at Fashion Show, tried on jeans all together in the same dressing room... yah five of us !! We then went to the Grand Lux for lunch/dinner, it was yummy. I guess it is a sister restaurant for Cheesecake Factory. I thought it was actually better than Cheesecake Factory. We then went and saw "The Lion King". I absolutely loved it. The costumes and singing were absolutely beautiful. My favorite was the lady that played "Rafiki', the monkey. Her voice was beyond amazing, and she was just loud and quirky. :) We then went to Town Square for more shopping. It was my first time at that mall. It is really a cool little mall.. it outside, with a spanish style setting... like a little village. We then headed over to Serendipity for some hot chocolates to go !! What a day !! The highlights were Zee Zee's driving, stories, and Nicole's visual aides.. not to mention the both of them talking to their car. I am so glad I got to tag along. I love Shell's family, they are a blast, take me in, and make me feel at home !!

My Protector

When I think of Mr. Chan Crismon... I think of "My Protector". Chan has always had my back for the last 15 years I have known him. He made me and Andee friends because he saw the connection before we did. He is always up front with me, even when I don't want to hear it. He spoils me because he says I deserve it, and he can. He includes me with his family because he loves me. He fights for me because I need it. And when he hugs me, I feel safe. I am so grateful and blessed to have him in my life. Happy Birthday Chan !! Love you !! :)

A Teeny Bopper Lesson

I can't believe the year is almost over, two and a half more days !! In all honesty, this has probably been the hardest ending for me since I taught. I had a couple rough patches with some kids that I really care about. I think at times I might just care too much. One of my bosses told me that, "I live and breathe my job". I do tend to do that when it comes to kids. I guess since I don't have my own, I really latch onto the ones that come into my life at school. So, like every hard experience in my life, I took this ending to learn... it is always okay to care too much, just don't expect teeny boppers to always return the favor. Besides, sometimes giving more is better than getting, right ?!! I just gotta remember that the next time I get hurt or pissed at teeny boppers. It all ended well though, and yet once again, teeny boppers proved me wrong...because those teeny boppers that hurt me, taught me that they can return the favor... in spades !! :)

This is Tanner. He is just one of those boys that is respectful, kind, and awesome.

Carry On Our Wayward Son

I just love this show. It is not for the light-hearted. Most times it ends on a grim note. But, what I love about it is the portrayal of good and evil... and how there is an underlying current of the consequences of having, and not having faith. I also love the relationship between Sam and Dean as brothers, and they are not too hard on the eyes. The writing is incredible, and the season finale this year.. is probably one of the best shows I have watched on television. I included the opening credits below. This is by far one of my favoritist songs too. Just all around good stuff !!

Free Pancakes

It's that time of year again... Good old "D" Week. Today the faculty made pancakes for the students. I love where I work, and the people I work with !!

A Vegas Easter/Birthday

Better late than never on my Easter post.. :) Chan, Andee, and the kids came down like they do every year for Easter. This year we decided to celebrate a little differently. As a belated birthday present to me, Chan got us rooms at the Luxor. He is good to me.. :) We walked around, shopping, played, ate good food, and chilled in our room. I am blessed to have such great friends that take care of me !!


We went to New York New York Casino so the kids could ride the roller coaster. After the ride and eating lunch at Nathan's (YUM !!), we paired off and played video games in the arcade. Carter and I decided to take our pics in the booth. His ginormous head overpowered mine.... and when I say ginormous I mean literally and figuratively !! :)




Carter was bugging Will before we went to bed... and Will was a little dramatic as usual :)

Words of Wisdom from Mama Odie

Mama Odie is my new favorite character from Disney. She is on "Princess and the Frog".... and she rocks. Love her song and the message in it !! Tessa does too.. :)

A Change of Heart

Never been big into wrestling... Onesies yuck, cauliflower ears what the ????, ringworm eeww !! After watching my nephews wrestle... I have changed my mind. Sometimes it is just fun watching the people you love.. kick some ass !! :)

Driving the Bandwagon !!

I know I am a little late on loving this show.. but I just started taping the re-runs on TBS. Not gonna lie, the first time I saw this show, I wasn't impressed. I honestly didn't understand what all the excitement was about it. Well, now I am driving the bandwagon !! I watch it every morning while I get ready for work... thanks to DVR. :)
