Funny Face Basketball

Rex captured some funny faces Friday night at the basketball game. The boys won... and all had a good time. I love sitting in the stands laughing with friends.. and love watching the boys play. Gotta love Mikey's dribble face, and my obnoxious laugh that Rex heard and thus shot. :>)

A Bite From Edward

Last night while taking tickets at wrestling.. which by the way.. what is up with those outfits !! I mean seriously gross. Anyhoo.. good old Breezy (love her name) and I were talking about "Twilight".... She loooooves Edward !!! As she was talking to me she kept rubbing her wrist.. and then she showed me her wrist.. she had drawn bite marks on them... LOL !! I mean wow. She said.. "That's where Edward bit me.." You go girl !!

It's For the Kids

Every year at Christmas time.. Dixie turns into a frenzy of giving and competition. Classes pit against each other to be the top donater for Angel Tree. It is hilarious to see what some teachers will resort to... to beat out other teachers. Some auction off their parking spots, homework, or class time to students in order to get high donations. Some teachers get voted in to have a pie thrown in their face if the student population donates the most money using their name !! So in the spirit of the season, and to have a little holiday cheer... my students and I created some cans with a lovely picture of Tatertot (my next door neighbor)... with the saying... "Tatertot loves pie !! Donate to Angel Tree !!" My can is almost full. :>) Tater wasn't too happy about it when I showed him.. So, i said, "Hey it's for the kids... " I am little scared about some sort of retaliation.. but, again it is for the kids.. Who knows, maybe the pie will be in my face.. hope it is chocolate cream..

A Belated Thank You

As I thought about what I was thankful for this Thanksgiving season.. I couldn't help but think of one of the students at my school. It is hard at times to not be sad because of life.. or things that happen to us.. or things that we have done. But, I think that what is important is how we react to these trials or hardships that determines who we are and what we will become. One of the students in our severe unit obviously has trials and hardships. The day before thanksgiving I went into visit his teacher and got to witness something that opened my eyes to what is hard in life. Life is as hard as we make it and how we react to it. Andrew is in a wheelchair, can't talk... has hardships obviously.... As I sat there chatting with him... he just started to laugh. He laughed out loud for a good minute. It was music to my ears.. and soul. It made me realize that although I have hardships.. there are others out there that have harder ones.. and that I should be grateful for the hardships I have because they make me who I am, and shape me to what I will become. We need to laugh more at life and in life... because without laughter and hardships... there is no joy. I like joy... joy is good... And through all of my thoughts. I was reminded of one quote that I love..
"I am like a huge, rough stone rolling down from a high mountain; and the only polishing I get is when some corner gets rubbed off by coming in contact with something else...knocking off a corner here and a corner there. Thus I will become a smooth and polished shaft in the quiver of the Almighty. " Joseph Smith... I hope to be a smooth, polished, shiny crystal..... Someday I will make it.... I am thankful for trials, laughter, Andrew, and Joseph Smith... and for my crystal :>)

Just when I think that Mikey can't top dorking out his previous sports/school pictures... he does !! Here is his latest installment... I shouldn't have doubted him. :>) HA !! Brokeback Dixie Ball ???!!

The Crazies on Black Friday

Stace and I decided to go out with the crazies on "Black Friday". 4:00 AM we were out with the best of them at Kohl's... K there were tons of people there... unreal to me !! It was a good thing Stace and I had Dad's handicapped sticker or we would have had to park three miles away. We waited in line for an hour.. and I didn't even get to go on a ride. :>) But, we got some good deals, met some cool people in line, and had some holiday fun.. Crazy !! The best thing was Stace pulling a Stace when we left Kohl's and went to Best Buy. It has been raining here so there was some fog out as to be expected... So Stace said, "Tam why is there so much fog.. is it cause there is so many people out here.. and they are breathing?".. Ha, love her. :)

By 9:30, Stace and I were starved from all the shopping...so we met up with the best crazies, my fam to eat at Golden Corral. They have a yummy breakfast buffet..

Uh-Oh its Magic

One of my new students loves to do magic tricks. He is really good and hilarious. The kids all come down and watch him on a regular basis. I told him he should start charging.... as long as I can be the introducer person.... "Introducing the Great Magic Mellon"... Gotta love Kyle Mellon.. I seriously think I will see him in a Vegas show someday !!!

Engulfing Enterprise

Went to Enterprise with my MacArthur/Sharp peeps for the first basketball game of the season... I am excited for this year to watch the boys play. We should have an awesome team !!! Plus, I got my handy new camera so I can take some action shots !!

Kens brought her niece Ali Bug... she is adorable and made me even more excited for Tessa to come !!
































Taloo is constantly taking swigs of my Diet Pepsi.. I am afraid I have got her hooked.. poor girl !! She calls it firewater..


















I had to film Bump doing his Vampire Call... he always calls the refs vampires !! It is hilarious... I am gonna make him a ref shirt that says.. "Vampires Suck".. Love him :>)

Twilight Party

So Shell, Leslie, and I get to the theatre an hour before our movie to ensure a good seat.. and it is like a reunion of St. George. We saw.. Brock, and Kens, Cassi McDaniels (My favorite Freddy), Camille Casperson, Kels Kels, Abs, and Brady Boo and his woman. It was a party with Caramel Apple Cider for a treat.. (Thanks Poppy). But the real party began when the movie started. When we got into the theatre, I felt like I was at an after Christmas sale.. pushing women aside to get a decent seat. Good thing Shell has the scariest, mean face cause she got us sweet seats. All I gotta say is.... it was everything I wanted. The characters and scenery, were exactly how I imagined them in the book. Incredible !! My favorite parts were Edward's everything.. :>) but, his golden eyes, Jasper's weirdness, and the baseball scene. I am going to see it again tomorrow !!
